WIS enrolls about 900 students each year, divided into three divisions:

| WIS is an all-gender, not-for-profit independent school for children in Preschool (age 3) through Grade 12. |

| No. WIS offers a wide variety of language proficiency options. Details on our language program are available online. |
| How many campuses are there? |
| WIS has two campuses in Washington, DC (approximately 10 minutes apart by car or shuttle bus). The Primary School Campus in Georgetown is home to our Preschool to Grade 5 students. The Tregaron Campus in Cleveland Park is home to our Middle School (Grades 6-8) and Upper School (Grades 9-12) students. |

| DOES WIS HAVE SCHOOL UNIFORMS? |
| WIS students do not wear uniforms, but they are expected to dress respectfully, in accordance with the dress code outlined in the Community Handbook. |
| DOES WIS PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION? |

WIS offers two bus options: the inter-campus shuttle that runs between our two campuses (for an additional fee) and the Eastern Market bus that operates at both campuses (for an additional fee). The shuttle and the Eastern Market bus may be used by children five years and older. The Tregaron Campus (Grades 6 to 12) is a 10-minute walk from the Cleveland Park Metro station (Red Line). Many children travel to/from the Tregaron Campus by Metro. Residents of the District of Columbia who attend WIS are eligible for the Kids Ride Free program to ride the Metrorail, Metrobus, and DC Circulator for free. Other than the inter-campus shuttle and the Eastern Market bus, WIS does NOT offer bus service from surrounding neighborhoods. |
| What is the wis residency requirement? |

Any currently-enrolled WIS student or prospective student is required to live with that individual’s parent(s) or an official legal guardian. The School does not offer a homestay program. However, the School recognizes that, for various reasons, a family may need to create its own version of a homestay program that is neither structured nor overseen by the School. The School will permit certain exceptions to its no-homestay policy on a case-by-case basis. Contact the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid to petition an exception to the no-homestay policy. |
